Abel Care and Support Limited is an independent living service based in Leominster, Herefordshire. We provide a professional and caring approach to support within our community.

 

We are an Outcome focused service that promotes independence and offering a flexibly, creative approach to finding the support that best suits the individual, their choices, interests and goals.

 

Abel Care and Support Limited is a small and bespoke service formed by Helen Reed- Registered Manager and Kate Williams - Deputy Manager. We drew upon our own experience within the care sector and the challenges and successes we have seen.

 

We identified a need in our community area, for an experienced  and specifically trained team that focuses on supporting Adults with  Autism, learning disabilities and other complex needs and behaviours. All who wish to remain at home or live independently.

 

Our aim is to meet this need by providing tailored packages of support to enable individuals to live the life they choose.

 

Our team understands the challenges that can be faced by individuals, their families, carers/advocates, to find the right day opportunities to fulfil individual needs and interests. This can be especially difficult for those who may find it difficult in large group settings.

 

The bespoke service we provide offers choice for the individuals we support , and allows them to take part in our activities programme. These are held in our local community and within our own activities room. We offer access as part of a small group or within an individual setting. 

We have our own transport and this enables far greater access to other available opportunities.

As part of our initiative to provide more local activities we have our own  #AbelActive inclusive activities programme weekly.

Our #AbelActive programme focuses on the health and well being of those we support and their individual goals and objectives.

We offer activities such as 'EVERY' body Yoga with Hummingbird Health and Fitness, Movement and Music sessions, Sensory sessions, Fun Fit fitness class, visits to utilise accessible bikes provided by Halo and a weekly visit from our Qualified Aromatherapist and much more.

 

We have built an excellent reputation based on our dedication to delivering high quality, person centred support, specifically to adults with Learning disabilities, Autism and Complex needs and behaviours.

Abel Care and Support Limited achieved an OUTSTANDING overall rating in our last CQC Inspection!

 

Our small, local support team have shared values, role specific training and experience in the areas we support. We provide a service that offers skilled support with excellent continuity and allows us to build an excellent rapport and positive relationship with the individuals we support.  All our team aim to provide a service that not only meets individual requirements and expectations, but exceeds them.

Abel Care and Support Limited fully involve all of our clients and/or their advocates in the care planning process.  This includes meeting your support worker or support team prior to the commencement of the support package as we believe, in 'Your Support, Your Choice, Your Way'. 

 

Abel Care & Support limited is fully insured, both employer and public liability and registered  with The Care Quality Commission.
